Business Analyst, Specialist People Foundation

Specialist People Foundation (SPF), a not-for-profit foundation, is the owner of Specialisterne Denmark, a unique commercial enterprise that use the autism characteristics positively to provide valuable services for business customers in the private and public sector at market terms. SPF have strong momentum in broadening the Specialisterne concept to interested parties around the world and it is the ambition to enable 1,000,000 meaningful and productive jobs globally for people with autism and similar challenges. Today, there are discussions with people in around 60 countries who want SPF to start up Specialisterne in their country.

Description of the role

The Business Analyst is an individual contributor role with significant exposure to senior management and important stakeholders inside and outside SPF.

As business analyst for the international operations, you will work with a range of simultaneous projects involving complex planning and analysis activities in support of the operations team, the management team and the Board of Directors. You will also be liaising with existing and future partners in their business planning and reporting processes.

A key part of your job at SPF will be to work independently on preparing feasibility studies and business plans together with potential licenses and external stakeholders. You will also be supporting the ongoing strategy, business planning and fundraising activities in SPF. Furthermore, you will be helping with the operational and financial reporting processes and metrics that are part of our balanced scorecard management approach.

You will be a key player in a small team with different areas of expertise in a fast growing and entrepreneurial environment. The position will require some travel to meet with local partners in Europe and other continents.

Primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Preparing feasibility studies and business plans in close cooperation with licensee partners, Specialisterne and SPF
  • Market and risk analysis when starting up Specialisterne in new locations
  • Financial planning support and advice to potential licensees
  • Preparation of fundraising applications for Danish and international private and public funds (e.g. EU, Arbejdsmarkedsstyrelsen...)
  • Reporting of internal and partner financial and operations metrics to SPF scorecard tool
  • Contribution to ongoing development of Specialisterne operational model

The candidate

The ideal candidate has:

  • A Bachelor/Masters degree in finance or business
  • 3-5 years proven track record in strategy, business and financial planning
  • Knowledge of fundraising processes (private and public funds)
  • Negotiation and preferably understanding of licensing models
  • Experience working with different cultures
  • Experience with Project management
  • Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility and Social ROI
  • English skills at negotiation level and perhaps additional language skills
  • Excellent skills within Microsoft Office
  • The ability to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations at management level
