Strategy Manager, Royal Sun Alliance Scandinavia

Codan / TryggHansa, part of the RSA group, is currently seeking strategy consultants who are looking to widen their career experience through working for one of the world’s largest general insurance companies and have the necessary tools and credence to help drive and push the company’s strategic agenda.

The position

The strategy unit exists as a distinct capability within the ScandinaviansStrategy, marketing and customer division delivering exciting and effective solutions across the Scandinavian business. The strategy unit is dedicated to delivering the regions strategy, divisional strategies, key strategic initiatives and M&A. The team is well recognised and has been delivering solutions for the business whether they are of a strategic, operational or M&A nature.

To continue this exciting growth, Codan / TryggHansa are looking to recruit a highly talented management/strategy Consultant, Senior Consultant or Managing Consultant, responsible for helping to develop the practice through successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the head of Strategy, the Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing the corporate strategy and delivering strategy projects across our Scandinavian businesses. Working closely with business lines management teams and other key stakeholders across the business/Group will be key to ensuring success in the role. Thus, the remit will include strategy formulation, project delivery and stakeholder management. The strategy manager will ultimately help RSA in driving the region’s strategic agenda and commercial initiatives, as well as managing and developing the company’s strategic-planning capabilities within the region.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience with business / strategy development including a good strategy consulting foundation from a recognised strategic consultancy house

  • Good commercial understanding of business and value drivers

  • Documented strong relationship management skills and experience working at all levels of corporate life

  • Has worked with proactively identifying and driving strategic initiatives either as external or internal consultant

  • Solid project management experience

  • Fluent in Danish and/or Swedish as well as English

  • In addition to this, the ideal candidate has either experience from the insurance and / or the financial industry or from a commercial service provider organization

  • Ideally international experience, approach and attitude
